Rare Teak Wood Door Panel - Saraswathi
A very rare and fine teak wood door panel from Andhra Pradesh (probably from a Zamindar's house) with Saraswathi flanked by two devdasis holding fly whiskers in their hands with one leg raised. Saraswathi is seated on a throne of foliage with a cushion back with large scrolling leaves and the lower base is formed by a row of flowers with either side having two large pineapples forming as a Tassel to the whole frame with flowing foliage and flower patterns to form a Mandapam for Saraswathi.
